NPORS Plant Training
Accredited NPORS operator training and testing across the full plant range, with CSCS-carrying cards available on completion.
Accredited NPORS and CPCS plant training, NVQ assessments, NRSWA streetworks and health & safety courses for individuals and teams — from Dorset and Bournemouth to Bristol, Oxford, Southampton and Portsmouth.
KOPLANT is a family-run training provider with more than 40 years in the construction industry. We train plant operators, groundworkers, streetworks gangs and site supervisors right across the South West — from single operators chasing a first ticket to contractors putting a whole workforce through renewals before a framework starts.
Every course is taught by someone who has done the job. That means less time reading slides, more time on the machine, and candidates who pass because they can actually operate — not because they memorised an answer sheet.
Tell us the category, the number of candidates and your deadline. We will confirm whether NPORS or CPCS is the right route for your site, quote you properly, and give you dates before you commit to anything.
The six routes below cover the vast majority of what South West sites ask for. If the ticket you need is not listed, ask — we almost certainly run it or can source it.
Accredited NPORS operator training and testing across the full plant range, with CSCS-carrying cards available on completion.
CPCS-certified instruction for operators working on sites that specify a CPCS card as a condition of entry.
Level 2 to Level 6 construction NVQs assessed around your day job — the route from a red CPCS card to a blue one.
Operative and supervisor streetworks qualifications under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, plus renewals.
Practical site safety courses written for construction teams, delivered by trainers who have worked on the tools.
Counterbalance and reach truck training for yards, builders merchants and materials handling operations.
We are not a national training broker passing your booking to a subcontractor. You deal with the same small team from the first phone call to the card landing on the mat, and that team has spent decades on construction sites in this region.
Short, practical sessions covering safe lifting technique, load assessment and the injuries manual handling failures cause on site.
Cable avoidance tool and signal generator training for anyone breaking ground, in line with HSG47.
Machine-specific familiarisation across excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers and MEWPs.
Selection, mounting, inspection and safe use of abrasive wheels under PUWER 1998.
Energy & Utility Skills Register schemes for operatives working on utility networks and in the water industry.
Low, medium and high risk confined space entry training, including tripod and rescue equipment.
Courses built around your own plant, site and shift pattern, delivered at your premises.
Renewal and reassessment routes for expiring NPORS, CPCS and NRSWA cards.
Plant, groundworks, streetworks and confined space training delivered on live sites across Dorset, Bristol, Oxford and the south coast.

No lengthy onboarding, no portal to log into. Four steps, and we handle the paperwork side of all of them.
Category, number of candidates, experience level and deadline. We will confirm which scheme your site requires.
A clear price with dates, location and duration. Registration, testing and CITB grant paperwork is handled by us.
Practical training on the machine, followed by theory and practical testing with an accredited tester.
Results are submitted straight away and cards follow. We will flag your renewal date so nothing lapses.
We work from Dorset out to Bristol, Bath, Oxford, Southampton and Portsmouth, with centres at Blandford and Eastleigh. If you are on the edge of that, ask anyway — we travel further than people expect when the group size justifies it.
Both. Most employers prefer us on site so operators train on the machines they already use and lose the least production time. If you would rather train away from a live job, we have facilities at Blandford in Dorset and Eastleigh in Hampshire.
They are two separate accreditation schemes for plant operators. NPORS is flexible, quick to arrange and can be issued with the CSCS logo. CPCS is specified by name on many larger contractor sites. We deliver both, and we will tell you honestly which one your site actually requires.
You complete a Level 2 NVQ in plant operations for your category while your red trained-operator card is still valid. The NVQ is assessed around your normal work on site, so there is very little classroom time.
Yes, and it usually works out cheaper per head. We build in-house courses around your plant, your site and your shift pattern, including early starts and weekends where that keeps production moving.
Yes. We run novice routes as well as experienced-worker and refresher routes. Novice courses run over more days because you are building the hours behind the ticket, and we will set out exactly what that looks like before you commit.
For most courses we can offer dates within a couple of weeks, and we can often move faster for single candidates or urgent card renewals. Call us with your deadline and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.
Yes. KOPLANT is a fully accredited CITB Training Provider Network member and an approved centre for NPORS, NOCN, CABWI and EUSR schemes. Ask us for the paperwork and we will send it over before you book.
Tell us the course, the number of candidates and where you are based. We will come back with dates, pricing and the quickest route to a card in hand.
